Episode 12: Austenland

For Colin Firth

You're a really great guy, but I'm married,
so I think we should just be friends.
-Shannon Hale

Grab your reticule and hold on to your coxcomb!
In today's podcast we are going back in time to the Regency Period with special Guest Ashley B. (aka Colonel Haberdashley Stan IIIV) and returning guest Alyssa! We discuss the movie and book AUSTENLAND, go on a Jane Austen tangent, show off our lovely Smeagle impressions and give you a good sense of what life in the 19th Century must have been like. Listen in as the girls play "guess the word definition" with words from the Regency Period.
You won't know what the Barouche is going on.

This episode will leave you wondering if it is, in fact, only tea we are drinking in our tea cups--
Tally ho!

Wishing gets you nothing...

The Three for Tea Gals welcome guest, and previous book giveaway winner, Alyssa to the show! Kristal and Ashley nerd out about seeing the midnight premier of AVENGERS: Age of Ultron, we discuss the books Paper Towns by John Green AND The Mermaid's Sister Carrie Anne Noble, and sip on some iced tea (because it was just too darn hot for hot tea). Spoilers ahead for anyone who hasn't read Paper Towns or The Mermaid's Sister or seen Avengers Age of Ultron!

Next podcast we will be discussing Austenland by Shannon Hale. If you want to join in on the discussion, please read the book before the next podcast and email us with your thoughts! We will also be reading it for the first time too!
